Solar Energy Internship: Caribbean / Latin America - Business Development - Miami, FL, United States

Solar Academy International (www.solaracademy.com), Canada’s leading PV training school, is expanding into the Caribbean and Latin America. Its sister organization, Solar Network International, is expanding its trademark regional solar summits, held in Toronto, to serve the Caribbean and Latin America, with a solar summit in March 2014 to be held in Miami, Florida or San Juan, Puerto Rico

We are seeking mature individuals, 25-55 year of age, passionate about solar energy and eager to establish a career in the FASTEST GROWING global industry. Get the knowledge, skills, contacts and experience for a successful career in the solar industry. We value both the hard-working, ambitious 20 somethings and highly experienced, over-qualified, 50 somethings - who are looking for a transition into an exciting, viable sector…. and everything between.

For your internship you will assist the president of Solar Academy International in its expansion in the Caribbean Islands and Latin America and /or become part of a team working on Solar Network International’s SSX Caribbean & Latin America: Solar Summit & eXpo to be held in March 2014. You may also become part of a team developing Advanta Solar Partners - a support network for new solar installation businesses based on each island.

Requirements: Interns must provide 40 hours per week for a minimum of 3 months- full-time, and be prepared to work independently via telecommute - ideally from Miami or one of the Caribbean islands.

Upon successful completion of monthly projects, interns receive a $500 stipend, for a total of $1,500 CDN.

While there is no guarantee, past interns have continued on as paid employees of the organization or have obtained gainful employment with other companies in the solar sector. An internship gives you the experience and connections to succeed!

Next Steps: Please post a recent resume, and a very brief cover letter on this site (solarpro.catchthebest.com) explaining why you are interested in this opportunity, and highlighting: a) the goals you would like to achieve through an internship, b) type of internship experience you are seeking (i.e. What kind of work do you want to do?), c) the experience and skills you possess that would be most relevant to such an internship
